Three years after bringing ethical retail store Bambini to Wellington’s CBD and 2 years after launching their website bambini.nz to New Zealand and the world, Bambini’s kiwi owners Tessa, Robyn and Julian are proud to introduce their much anticipated complementary offering, BambiniBox. Designed for busy people, with limited time to shop, BambiniBox will be a boon for every one of us who feels we’d like a friendly helping hand in making our online buying choices, for newborn to teen. Whether putting together a seasonal wardrobe for a loved one, or choosing the perfect set of goodies for new parents, BambiniBox style team Tessa, Lily and Annnabel will curate and deliver the finest, ethically made clothes and accessories, beautifully packaged, right to the door. 

Just three minutes is all we need from you, and we’ll take care of the rest. Complete a super-quick QUIZ (there are no wrong answers!), choose which size BambiniBox best suits you, choose your preferred payment option (yes, we have ZIP and Laybuy), then sit back and let the BambiniBox style team Tessa, Lily and Annnabel curate the perfect pieces of Bambini goodness. Colours and textures are curated to mix and match, and you can tell us colours or brands you particularly like – or don’t like.  Everything in your BambiniBox is ethically manufactured from the highest quality, durable materials. Our clothes, shoes and linens are made for comfort, in designs that kids, babies – and parents – will LOVE. 

The choice is yours, depending on the size of the BambiniBox you choose, from $200 for three or four choice items for a brand new baby, to $1500 for a 12 year old’s seasonal wardrobe, from sunhat and sandals to shorts and tees. Whatever your choice, whoever receives your BambiniBox will be blown away by the beautiful packaging and unwrapping the goodness inside. You can add your own personal message too.

Just like our Wellington store, BambiniBox specialises in clothes and accessories for newborn to teen. Sizes range from Prem to 14 years. By answering our quick QUIZ, you’ll give us all the information we need to make the best decisions on size. We have a good range of sizes up to adult, in some choice pieces like Lullaby Club dresses for a special occasion, Silent Theory trackies, Saltwater sandals, Veja sneakers and Seafolly swimwear, so for teen girls on the tall side, we can definitely help. We have a select range for those bigger boys that may need size 16 years, including Goliath, Lee Riders, Veja and Band of Boys.

Every day, our style team dress kids from newborn to teen and our customers would agree they are pretty good judges of their likes and dislikes. 

Chief stylist (and chief buyer for Bambini), Tessa excelled at fashion and sewing at school and went straight on to work in kids fashion – it’s her passion, and she’s been doing it now for a decade.

Annabel has a degree in fashion, she knows everything about fabric and clothing design. We love having her experience – and her beautiful nature – at Bambini – plus having her own kids, boys and girls, gives Annabel just the right experience to put together outfits they’ll LOVE.

Lily is our artist, just finished a degree at Massey. Lily can draw anything, she has an amazing eye for design and she has worked with us here at Bambini almost since we started, so knows kids and what they like to wear. 

Your BambiniBox contains a carefully selected assortment of beautiful clothing, as well as bedding, shoes, and other accessories, depending on the answers you give in our short QUIZ. Our $250 BambiniBox will have at least four items, see below for a sample box and contents. Our largest box (at $1,500 or more) will provide a full wardrobe, depending on what you tell us in the QUIZ.  

Many clothing items will be based on the season. Equally, lots of our products for babies are trans-seasonal, for example organic muslin wraps, merino blankets, NZ made sheepskin booties. We do swimwear year round.

The $250 will have at least four items, see below for a sample box and contents. Our largest boxes at $1,500 and above will provide a full wardrobe and have as many as 30 or 40 items, depending on what you tell us in the QUIZ.

We strive to offer the most dependable, ethical brands – choosing local where we can, and using organic cottons wherever possible. We consider how our brands minimise waste, what their water footprint is, and how they ensure fair pay for workers. You can see our brands here.

Absolutely, you can click on your fave brands, or type in your request for a specific brand – or just skip the question and we’ll choose the best brands based on your other answers. 

Our quick QUIZ has a couple of questions aimed at helping our stylists gauge the right size and style for your BambiniBox. If you complete the QUIZ based on what you know (just skip what you don’t), that’ll give us the best chance of delighting the wee person you’re gifting to.

No problem, once you’ve got to the end of the QUIZ, entered the delivery details and made payment, you’ll be asked whether you want to add another BambiniBox. If they’re going to the same address, we’ll check with you whether you want them sent together or separately. Each child / baby has a separate set of QUIZ questions.

Once payment has been made, we’ll curate your BambiniBox, ready to send once we’ve sorted any missing information we might need, such as foot measurement if you’ve selected footwear to be sent. Delivery within New Zealand will be in 3 to 7 days, rural locations may take a little longer.

If you’d like your BambiniBox delivered more urgently, please LET US KNOW – we’re always glad to help! Our aim is to delight you, and our couriers are amazing, particularly when they know something is urgent.

We’ll send you tracking details as soon as your BambiniBox leaves our store. 

Yes, we ship to 8 different countries and are always open to shipping to new places. Just send us an email to store@bambini.nz before you get started and we’ll let you know what the surcharge will be to ship internationally. We can bill you separately for that, or we can load a shipping code specifically for you, so you can pay for your BambiniBox and the delivery at the same time. Please give us as much information as possible, so you avoid the cost of return freight. At this time we cannot facilitate free overseas returns, and return freight is at the expense of the sender. Returns are for exchange or credit.

Once you finish the BambiniBox QUIZ (maybe three minutes), you’ll be asked for your shipping address and payment details.

We accept Credit Card, Internet Banking (2 days to pay), ZIP and LAYBUY payment options.

If something doesn’t fit or it just doesn’t look right, you can return it for a credit or exchange within 14 days of delivery. We’ll work with you to find the perfect exchange item, and if you’re just not finding the right thing, we’ll load a credit for the value of the returned item. You can use your credit any time in the store or online, or towards another BambiniBox.

No, you pay a one-off payment for each BambiniBox you order. If you’d like us to contact you as a new season or favourite brand is about to launch, please let us know by ticking the relevant box in the QUIZ.
